Furniture Arrives!

Finally it’s time for the furniture installation in portions of the new Student Union building at San Jose State University. The Los Angeles office of Perkins and Will is the Project Architect and O’connor Construction Management is managing the construction. The installations will be phased in lock-step with each completed phase of construction. Belinda Majors, joined by the CM, recently toured the project to see the progress and check the installation against the drawings, specifications and approved design. It’s looking good!

LA County High Desert Health System MACC

PDA is proud to have been a part of the design/build phase for the Los Angeles County High Desert Health System Multi-Service Ambulatory Care Center project currently under construction in Lancaster, California. The brand-new state-of-the-art facility will provide a comprehensive range of outpatient medical services and is slated to be open in July 2014. Progress at Cedars-Sinai PACU

Working with a wonderful team of professionals at Cedars-Sinai, our designers are incorporating a fresh spa feel to the finish palette for the new 6th and 7th floors PACU located at the north tower of the medical center. By strategically placing accent colors, we are creating a soothing and calm environment for patients in the care unit. The project is slated to be completed by mid November 2012.

UCLA Radiation Oncology: Project Progress

PDA was charged with designing the remodel of the Radiation Oncology Department at UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, California. The redesign included Lobby improvements such as the Reception Desk, Sub-Waiting area and internal Workroom as well as reorganization of the nurse station. We chose color schemes and accent lights to brighten the existing areas and new furniture to update the space. Construction on this occupied multi-phase project is to be completed by the end of 2012.

Finishing Touches

Installed at Kaiser Anaheim replacement hospital with selections by J.D. Thompson & Associates, these beautiful pieces showcase the art consultant’s collaboration with the team to create a serene and healing environment for its patients, staff and visitors. Based in San Diego, California, Ms. Thompson has also worked with our designers on the brand-new UC Irvine Douglas Hospital and has provided her services for many other projects in southern California.
