Belinda Majors
Senior Project Manager

Belinda Majors has over 20 years experience in the field of interior design. Beginning her career in high-end residential design, Belinda shifted her focus during the 1980s to Retirement Living when the opportunity was presented. Many projects included multi level care facilities and several new Skilled Nursing Facilities where she was actively involved in all aspects of the design. Belinda began doing research in the field of geriatric design, barrier free design, and Color Theory with emphasis on the effects of color in the health care environment. Her work included projects for Northern California Presbyterian Homes for the Aging, Southern California Lutheran Homes Retirement Facilities, and Sunrise Development Corp.

During the 1990’s Belinda’s work transitioned to the field of acute care facilities, medical office buildings, and general medical design. She joined the firm of Euthenics, Inc. as a project designer and advanced to project manager and supervised the Santa Monica office staff for 4 years. Her work at Euthenics included dozens of new hospitals and remodeling projects for National Medical Enterprises and Tenet Healthcare Systems facilities in California, Texas, Florida and Arizona. Working closely with the corporate project managers and hospital administrators at NME, Belinda was instrumental in developing Master Interior Design Concepts addressing functionality, aesthetics, and marketing objectives.

Ms. Majors joined Pickett Designs in the fall of 1997 and is presently a project manager working on medical design projects for USC University Hospital Acute Care Tower Addition and Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Medical Center Replacement Hospital.

Successfully designing and managing many projects in the State of California, Belinda is very experienced in working with local/state agencies, especially O.S.H.P.D., to obtain approvals for products and installations. She has developed what O.S.H.P.D. calls one of the best reporting systems for the submittals of interior finishes and products. Another active area of development credited to Ms. Majors has been her work in facility management programs as they pertain to interior finishes. She has worked as an interior designer on all phases of medical design work including research of products for compliance to codes, space planning with emphasis on barrier-free design, estimating and detail budgeting, project administration and complete working drawings.

Ms. Majors is a certified Interior Designer in the State of California. She is currently researching products and concepts for sustainable environments as they pertain to healthcare facilities.
