Christine Pickett Hardin has over twenty years experience in the design, production, administration and management of various project types including; retail, hospital and healthcare facilities, residential, and commercial design. She has been successful in facilitating the design of each of these projects by being involved in each phase from inception through completion. Ms. Hardin is the sole proprietor of Pickett Designs founded in New York City in 1984. Pickett Designs’ past projects include; commercial design for Amgen, Inc., Upward Bound House of Santa Monica, Queen of Angels-Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, Center for Functional Rehabilitation and Pain Management, BASF Corporation, Polygram Records, PSE&G, and North American Recycling Corporation.
Currently Pickett Designs is providing interior medical design services to: Pei Partnership Architects for the UCLA Medical Center Replacement Hospital; Anshen+Allen on the Kaiser Permanente Panorama City Medical Center Replacement Hospital; and USC University Hospital Acute Care Tower Addition with LBL.
Christine received her interior design degree at State University of New York, Fashion Institute of Technology. She received the award for Progress and Dedication in 1978 and upon graduation in 1981. After graduating, Christine worked for Rogers, Burgun, Shahine and Deschler Architects in New York City on both domestic and international projects including: Petromin Mobil Administration Building in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, Swiss Bank in New York, The Brooklyn Hospital and the Warner Communications Child Life Center at New York Hospital. After RBS&D, Christine worked for The Hillier Group also located in New York. Her projects included Seton Hall University in New Jersey, The Brooklyn District Attorney Offices, and Katherine Gibbs School in Manhattan.
Christine has a keen ability to implement client objectives, to meet schedules on time and within budget, and to facilitate the design process. Her proven leadership and accomplishments are a major factor in her long-standing relationships with clients.
As Principal, Christine is committed to quality design and involves herself intimately in every aspect of the work by actively participating in each phase of a project. She is responsible for establishing policy, overseeing design and production, and ensuring the highest level of professional service.
