The J. Paul Getty Museum is currently exhibiting “Overdrive: L.A. Constructs the Future 1940 – 1990,” an overview of the urban landscape and its diverse architectural innovations. Christine and a group of friends/colleagues attended the exhibit and were fascinated by the growth and transformation of the city which were made possible by its patrons, planners and architects.
Sky Factory is the manufacturer of Digital Cinema Virtual Window, a product used in healthcare facility spaces such as an oncology department waiting area. As mentioned in a past blog post, Christine viewed first-hand the incredible technology behind this product and its usage. Check out the video to hear the sales representative explain all the innovative features!
Christine recently toured Boston Children’s Hospital and found this very interesting perpetual visual and auditory display in the main entrance lobby. This kinetic art form is used as a positive distraction for all patients and visitors.
Our designers were recently invited to tour the Kimball Office showroom in downtown Los Angeles. We gladly tested the different furniture pieces and furniture systems to have a better appreciation of their application in our projects.
While Marta relaxed in the comforts of the FIT Chair, Holly Rau of Kimball Office gave the team information about the very contemporary and configurable Villa Lounge as well as the Hum system which allows for individual and collaborative workspace activity. Thanks to Holly for the grand tour!
